Bang & Olufsen, Danish manufacturer of fancy audio and video products, is celebrating its 95th birthday with a new pair of headphones, the Beoplay H95.

These are the most premium wireless headphones B&O has ever released, and they come with a price to match: $800. However, they do offer a lot, at least on paper.

The headphones have two 40-millimeter titanium drivers with neodymium magnets, with the sound further enhanced by Bang & Olufsen's DSP (digital signal processing) engine. Adaptive active noise cancellation is on board (though B&O claims the H95 offer "impressive" passive noise reduction from the get go), and the controls consist of aluminum dials on both cups.

B&O claims the Beoplay H95 come with 38 hours of battery life, and that's with active noise cancellation turned on, which is on par with the best headphones in class. Four voice microphones should provide good voice call quality, further improved with B&O's noise reduction tech.

Other features of note are support for ACC and aptX Adaptive sound, as well as Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.

As far as I can judge from press photos, these are among the nicest-looking headphones I've seen, with a brushed aluminum frame, lambskin ear cushions, and a cowhide/textile/memory foam headband. They fold flat, and come with an aluminum carrying case.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 are available online now in two colors: Black and Grey Mist. They'll be available with select retailers and in B&O retail stores from Sept. 10.
