New York Comic Con kicks off Thursday, and while the TV lineup isn't quite as expansive as San Diego's annual fan fest, there are still plenty of high-profile shows making an appearance during the convention -- and broadcast better watch out, because most of these heavy-hitters come from the streaming networks.
Here are 10 shows that get our Spidey senses tingling at this year's NYCC.
Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams
Friday, Oct. 6, 10:30AM-11:30 a.m., Hammerstein Ballroom
Amazon's new anthology series has already drawn inevitable comparisons to Netflix's Black Mirror, since it's also produced by Channel 4 (the UK network that initially made Black Mirrora hit across the pond before Netflix snagged it), but instead of springing from the enviable mind of Charlie Brooker for its twisted tech tales, Electric Dreamsgoes back to the source of so many of our sci-fi anxieties, adapting the iconic stories of Philip K. Dick.
The show, which counts Breaking Badstar Bryan Cranston and Outlandershowrunner Ron Moore as executive producers, is impressively star-studded, with a cast including Cranston, Steve Buscemi, Anna Paquin, Terrence Howard, Mireille Enos, Janelle Monáe, Jason Mitchell, Maura Tierney, Juno Temple and Game of Thrones stars Richard Madden and Liam Cunningham.
Cunningham, Moore and fellow EP Michael Dinner will be in New York for the Electric Dreams panel, which is being presented alongside Amazon's other Dick adaptation, The Man in the High Castle. Amazon hasn't released an air date or trailer yet(it's a safe bet to assume we'll see one this weekend), but Canadian broadcaster Space has posted the above sneak peek to give you an idea what to expect.
Marvel's Runaways
Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, 7:45 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.,Main Stage 1-D

Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, with Gossip Girl and The O.C.bosses Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage serving as showrunners.
The show centers around a group of seemingly ordinary teenagers who discover that their parents are members of a group of villains and band together to stop them, discovering that they're not quite so ordinary along the way.
The panel includes the showrunners; Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb; and stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin and Allegra Acosta.
Happy!
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Hammerstein Ballroom
Presented alongside Syfy'sThe Magiciansat NYCC, this upcoming comic book adaptation is based on the graphic novel by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson.
Starring Law & Order: SVUalum Christopher Meloni, the surreal comedy centers around a disgraced ex-cop turned hitman who, per Syfy, "is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse," voiced by Patton Oswalt. It sounds bonkers, but is it just crazy enough to work? We're betting yes.
The panel will feature the world premiere screening of the Happy!pilot, followed by a Q&A with Meloni, Morrison and executive producers Brian Taylor and Patrick MacManus.
Star Trek: Discovery
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, 3:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., The Theater at Madison Square Garden
By now you've hopefully seen the first three episodes of the show that provides "new life for a franchise that hasn't boldly gone like this in a long time, if ever," as Mashable's Chris Taylor describes it.
The opening installments of Discoverywere shrouded in secrecy, which made its San Diego Comic-Con panel a cagey affair, but now that the series is out in the world, here's hoping we get further details about the universe that CBS All Access has brought back to our screens, with a Q&A featuring the cast and executive producers.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Room 1A06
Amazon is getting into the action game with this small-screen adaptation of Tom Clancy's enduring CIA hero. Previously embodied by the likes of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine, this new iteration of the character is played by John Krasinski in his first series regular role since The Office.
Krasinski will be on hand for the panel alongside showrunner Carlton Cuse and co-stars Wendell Pierce and Abbie Cornish.
Black Mirror
Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, 8 p.m. - 9 p.m., Room 1A06
Executive producers Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones will be in attendance to give fans a first look at Season 4, which premieres on Netflix later this year. As usual, details are shrouded in secrecy, but Netflix promises "a surprise or two" at the panel ahead of the anthology series' hotly-anticipated return.
The X-Files
October 8, 2017, 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., Main Stage 1-D
Mulder and Scully are back to continue the story they kicked off in last year's Fox revival, and stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Mitch Pileggi are scheduled to appear with series creator Chris Carter to offer fans a first look at Season 11. The 10-episode event series doesn't premiere until next January, so it'll be a good opportunity to get your X-fix before the new year.
Castle Rock
Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, 2 p.m. - 4:45 p.m., Hammerstein Ballroom
Here's hoping Hulu's mysterious Stephen King-inspired series will be more ITthan Dark Tower (the cast includes the former's Bill Skarsgård, so it's off to a good start).
Described by Hulu as "a psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse" and "a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories," the panel will be our first introduction to the trippy town and its inhabitants, as part of Warner Bros.' TV Takeover presentation on Sunday afternoon.
Westworld
Welcome to Westworld: AboutWhile HBO isn't mounting a panel at this year's convention, fans will still have an opportunity to step inside Westworldthanks to an immersive, interactive experience that will bring the series to life -- and maybe even offer some hints about Season 2.
Westworld: The Experienceis available by appointment only to fans (if they're 21 or older) with a NYCC badge. Much like the exclusive Delos Destinations getaway in the show, getting to Westworld requires commitment -- according to HBO, "the appointment desk will pop up in a different location each morning near the Javits Center, with locations being teased in advance via the @WestworldHBO Facebook page and Twitter handle. The desk will be open Thursday, October 5; Friday, October 6; Saturday, October 7; and Sunday, October 8 beginning at 9:00am ET until all slots for the day have been filled." The location of the experience will only be revealed to fans who manage to snag an appointment, and the slots are first-come, first-served, so you'd better be as cunning as the Man in Black if you want to see what all the fuss is about.
Mr. Robot
Thursday, Oct. 5 - 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Terminal 5
Hello, friends. If you've ever wondered what it's like to immerse yourself in the trippy word of Elliot Alderson and fsociety, you'll want to check out USA Network's -- I mean, E Corp's-- "corporate launch party" for ECoin, the bank's new cryptocurrency, which is being rolled out in "an effort to assuage the nation's financial difficulties resulting from the five/nine hack," as the network describes it.
Blurring the line between reality and fiction the way only Mr. Robot can, the gala will be hosted by E Corp CEO Phillip Price (aka actor Michael Cristofer) at Terminal 5, and lucky for us plebes, USA says fans can sign up for the bash's limited number of tickets at www.launchparty.e-coin.com, and perhaps get some intel on Season 3 in the process.
The generous fictional company will also allow fans to register for ECoin accounts at the party, online via www.e-coin.com, or at a special Bank of E pop-up location inside the Javits Center. You can check it out beginning Thursday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 7, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8.
USA kindly let us know that ECoin users will also have access to some exclusive offers and giveaways for their loyalty throughout the con: "America's favorite BBQ restaurant, Red Wheelbarrow, will be the first ECoin launch partner, offering free BBQ meals to ECoin members out of its NYC food truck from Saturday, October 7 until Tuesday, October 10." Nothing tastes better than capitalism, right?
