Wings Gaming, the up-and-coming team from China, managed to best Digital Chaos Monday. Digital Chaos defeated its lower bracket opponent LGD Gaming the following day, so they'll have another chance at advancing to the grand finals.

After the two upper bracket matches Monday, Fnatic and Team Liquid advanced to the lower bracket quarterfinals alongside LGD and TNC.

In two exciting upper bracket matches Tuesday, wildcard team Ehome edged out Alliance 2-0 and TI5 champions Evil Geniuses defeated Newbee. Newbee put up quite a fight but EG managed to come out on top in the majority of team fights, giving them the advantage they needed to win 2-0.

Upcoming matches

Wednesday, the third day of TI6, is kicking off with the remaining two lower bracket quarterfinals matches, Alliance vs. Fnatic and Newbee vs. Team Liquid. The two winners of those matches will face off against each other Thursday following the other lower bracket semifinals match between TNC and Digital Chaos. The losers will be out of the tournament.

After the lower bracket quarterfinals Wednesday, MVP Phoenix will go up against Wings Gaming, then Ehome will take on Evil Geniuses. The two losing team will be sent to the lower bracket semifinals, while the two winning teams will battle Friday for a spot in the grand finals.

At this point in the tournament, no matchup has a certain winner. OG, possibly one of the tournament's most-favored teams, is already out. Meanwhile wildcard team Ehome has been winning nonstop.

Broadcasts for The International Dota 2 championships start at 10 a.m. PT every day. The remainder of the matches are all best-of-three except for the grand finals on Saturday, which will be best-of-five.
