Canada-based artist Annelies Hofmeyr created the rather unusual look, which consists of a white backdrop with a faux-blood effect, not to mention little blue strings for added realism.

It's a pretty useful trick if you think about it. Next time it's your time of the month, just fashion your nails into tampons and save yourself the bother of telling anyone that you have your period. Genius. 。
