Just because you know how to press your iPhone's camera shutter and record button and snap the perf selfie doesn't mean you're getting the most out of the incredibly capable camera.
To help iPhone users take better (maybe even "Shot on iPhone" worthy) photos, Apple's launched a new website with a bunch of informative photography tips and tricks.

I can't tell you how many people I know who don't know how to use settings like High Dynamic Range (HDR), or the exposure slider, or how to snap photos while shooting a video. Also, when to use flash and when not to.
A little knowledge goes a long way to improving your photos. Here are a few tips that caught my eye:
How to shoot a backlit subject

Turn on HDR for better highlights and shadows > Lock focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to lower exposure > shoot your photo
How to shoot a vertical Pano
Begin with camera in landscape > Switch to Pano mode > Tap the shutter to start the Pano > Start from the bottom and pan slow and steady
How to shoot a sunset silhouette

Place subject in front of the sun > Lock focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to lower exposure > shoot your photo
How to shoot with street light

Turn off the flash > Lock focus by pressing and holding anywhere on the display > Tap the display and slide to find the right exposure > shoot your photo
How to shoot stills while filming
Switch to video mode > Start filming > Tap the white shutter button to capture a photo while recording
How to convert to black & white
Create contrast between subject & background > shoot your photo > Go to your Photos album > Select the photo and tap the Edit setting > Tap the filter button and choose your black & white filter > Play with the lights level in filter settings.
