The country's most retweeted post was one by Australian Marriage Equality on Nov. 15, which came shortly following the announcement that a majority of the country had voted yes.。

Political issues dominated in Twitter's most tweeted about hashtags, with #manus -- referring to the continuing situation involving refugees on Manus Island -- ranking third.。

Also in the top 10 was Korean pop band BTS, whose name was the ninth most tweeted hashtag in the country. However, it doesn't quite compare to their presence in Asia, where they had the most retweeted post in the region.。
