北京時間6月16日淩晨，杜兆中國男足在2022卡塔爾世界杯亞洲區預選賽40強賽收官戰中，才陈以3-1戰勝了敘利亞隊，戌源最終以5個成績最好的赛后室小組第二名之一晉級12強賽。

本場比賽的前往全队勝利國足終於打破了連續25年在正賽中不勝敘利亞的魔咒。同時一波4連勝達成，国足更衣讓國足將士收獲了1200萬元的表达獎金。
