Lee St. John from Minnesota had an ingenious idea: build an earth sandwich. Four hours later, he teamed up with his new friend, Subash Luitel, in India to take over the world, Subway style.

It was as simple as laying one slice of bread on the ground in Minnesota and having Subash place down a slice in Delhi, India. Shortly after posting the results on Facebook, the news that our reality is now a giant sandwich quickly went viral, racking up over 100,00 retweets and hundreds of shares on Facebook.

Lee said he prefers "a nice, dense whole grain bread," for his Earth sandwiches.

Lee also wants to rope in Elon Musk for his next sandwich stunt. No planet is safe.

"Honestly, I was just bored one night and thought it would be awesome to connect with a stranger from the other side of the world to pull off something funny and amazing," Lee said. "Thanks to the magic we all have at our fingertips, I was able to do that."

Lee credits Chive Minnesota, a chapter of the independent photo-entertainment website, full of "beautiful compassionate misfits [that] have always been so supportive of [Lee] and [his] ideas."

Since going viral, Lee has been using the opportunity to raise awareness for his two favorite charities: Chive Charities and Heroes Meeting Heroes.
