北京時間4月20日，曝梅博主“廣州隊刊”在社媒爆料稱，州场中超梅州因場地初檢未達標，地初达标可能不承辦中超。承办

“廣州隊刊”寫道：“梅州中超場地初檢未所有達標，联赛可能不能承辦中超比賽，无限中超無限延期。延期”

由於疫情影響，曝梅新賽季中超依舊以賽會製進行，州场中超而態度非常積極的地初达标梅州則成為了候選賽區之一。但根據目前的承办消息，梅州賽區似乎在驗收環節出現了意外，联赛存在無法承辦的无限可能。
