On Boler's left shoulder is her mother's name, Niani. On her right is her father's name, Harold. She said her mother is her heart and her father is her strength, via Twitter DM.
Boler's mother was the first to peel away the bandage. When she saw her name, she was left speechless.

The tattoo, she says, is meant to honor and serve as a sweet reminder of her parents while she's away from home.
"I just wanted to get something to let them and myself know that they will always be there with me," she said.
