7月2日，據雅虎日本站消息，中国主场中立日本足協技術委員會主席反町康治表示，男足關於12強賽中國主場對陣日本的赛或比賽有可能安排在中立場地進行。

反町康治表示：9月7日，安排12強賽中國隊主場對陣日本的场地比賽很有可能安排在中立場地進行，中國方麵考慮到明年2月進行的日媒日本北京冬奧會，很可能取消境內所有的中国主场中立國際比賽。
