Dr. Luke's alleged pattern of abuse and controlling behavior toward Kesha included emails criticizing her weight and complaining that she wasn't sticking to her diet plan, according to court documents obtained Wednesday by Mashable.
Kesha released the emails as part of an ongoing legal battle with her former music producer, whose legal name is Lukasz Gottwald. She says Dr. Luke, her producer for a decade, plied her with drugs, sexually abused her and micromanaged every aspect of her life -- claims Dr. Luke has adamantly maintained she made up.

The 2012 correspondence allegedly shows how closely Gottwald monitored Kesha's diet and instructed those around her to do the same.
Gottwald is particularly concerned that the singer, who has struggled with eating disorders, broke a juice cleanse with turkey and a Diet Coke:
Nobody was calling anybody out. We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet. There have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. This perticular [sic] time it happened to be Diet Coke and turkey while on an all juice fast. We just wanna see her stick to the plan for her benefit and the benefit of her career.
The New York Postinitially published excerpts of the emails that were presented by Kesha's lawyer to the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Cornia implores Gottwald to consider her emotional state, but also bemoans the fact that Kesha has feelings they have to deal with.
"She's a human and not a machine," writes Cornia. "If she were a machine that would be way cool and we could do whatever we want."
The producer claims that her weight is preventing her from moving forward in the career. In an email from June 2012, Gottwald claims, "A List songwriters and producers are reluctant to give Kesha their songs because of her weight.”
According to Cornia, Gottwald was also furious when Kesha refused to sing lyrics she didn't feel represented her out of fear that Gottwald would leak the audio, to which he responded, "I don’t give a s–t what you want. If you were smart you would go in and sing it.”
The emails were presented ahead of a phone conference between both parties and a judge set for next week.
