4月30日，亚冠疫情據亞冠聯賽官方消息，掸邦大阪撣邦聯退出本賽季比賽，联因墨爾本城將與大阪櫻花爭奪小組賽席位。退赛

亞足聯官方寫道：受疫情局勢影響，墨尔名额撣邦聯宣布退出亞冠。本城根據競賽規程，争夺正赛亞足聯宣布取消撣邦聯與墨爾本城的亚冠疫情亞冠資格賽。墨爾本城將直接晉級亞冠附加賽，掸邦大阪與日本的联因大阪櫻花爭奪J組第四檔席位。

中超球隊廣州被分至J組，退赛同組對手還有泰超球隊泰港、墨尔名额港超球隊傑誌。本城
