We're less than a week away from Amazon Prime Day, but if you want to get ahead on the holiday shopping for the fam, you're in luck because Amazon is already slashing prices. If you need a new tablet for your kiddo, the Amazon Fire 7 kids tablet is back down to its lowest-ever price.

Prime members can pick up the tablet for $54.99. That's a savings of 50%, or $55 dollars off the usual price. We've seen the Amazon Fire 7 kids tablet drop its price to $59.99 back in June, but today's deal is still the lowest price on record.

The Amazon Fire 7 Kids Tablet isn't as sophisticated as the Amazon Fire Pro. Its display is not HD and its speakers are too quiet, but this isn't a problem. Designed with children ages 3-7 in mind, this durable model is actually a great first tablet for your toddler. Parental controls are easy to navigate and its case is built to withstand the dings and bumps of life with a young kiddo. Plus, it has a generous warranty.
