According to Holland, the extended schedule for shooting and production is all a part of the team's desire to deliver a really satisfying season, perhaps one that will be better received than Season 2, which was pretty good but couldn't quite live up to the magic of Season 1.

“It’s a handcrafted show,” Holland told press. “The Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy, they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year.
