Sure, things are bad, but it’s not like we’ve gone full dystopia yet.。
I mean, our Great Leader isn’t lavishing praise on kowtowing corporations from giant screens while his dutiful lackey looks stone-faced into the distance …

During a press briefing on Thursday, the White House skipped the entire pretense of Sarah Huckabee Sanders providing the media with useful information. 。

Instead, it rolled a video of Donald Trump praising companies who gave very public one-time bonuses to employees after the Republican tax bill passed, including Comcast and AT&T (who's also quietly firing thousands of workers in the weeks ahead). 。

Here's video of the press conference so you can judge Trump's comments for yourself. 。
It'd be great, of course, if corporations used the tax cuts to raise wages, improve benefits, and hire more U.S. employees. There's also the possibility they'll use it to reward investors with share buybacks and dividend payouts, and executives with bonuses. 。
Too bad Trump wasn't around to answer questions on the topic. He was probably too busy fuming over Steve Bannon. 。
