As dog people will tell you, golden retrievers are friendly, energetic, adorable as hell, and extremely lovable. But these four traits aren't exclusive to pups — they also apply to actor and human golden retriever Chris Evans. 。

One enlightening day in September, the person behind the Twitter account retrievans (who preferred to remain anonymous) noticed the similarities between the actor and sweet golden retrievers and decided to dedicate an entire account to proving the groundbreaking theory that they are one in the same.

Inspired by the "tessa as goats" account — it compares actress Tessa Thompson to cute little goats — retrievans and friends began the hunt for photos of Evans that resembled retrievers. Spoiler alert: the results were spot-on... like, nearly uncanny.

"It has to do with Evans' nature in general that reminded me a lot of goldens," retrievans said of the account via Twitter direct message.。

At the time of writing, the "Chris Evans as Golden Retrievers" account had less than 15 tweets, but nearly 23,000 followers — including Evans himself! It's no surprise that Evans, who adopted his rescue pup Dodger in 2016, is undoubtedly a dog person, so it's no surprise that he's a fan of the account, too.。
