Bob Iger just became the galaxy's greatest tease.
The Disney CEO offered some footage of the upcoming Star Wars sequel, The Last Jedi, at the company's annual shareholder meeting in Denver Wednesday -- and the footage apparently included a pretty major spoiler for the movie. (Look away now if you don't want to know it.)
SEE ALSO:The new Star Wars episode title means more than you thinkThe teaser features Luke Skywalker's first meeting with Rey -- the moment where The Force Awakensends, and The Last Jedibegins -- with Luke asking Rey "who are you?" according to a Los Angeles Timesreporter at the meeting. (Most reporters, listening in on the shareholder call, were blocked from hearing the footage shown.)

Why is that a spoiler? Because if Luke doesn't know who Rey is, that all but nixes one major fan theory that's been doing the rounds since 2015 -- that she's Luke's daughter, or some other relative known to him.
SEE ALSO:Let's talk Rey: The 4 best fan theories about 'The Force Awakens' heroThat gives credence to more wacky theories about Rey's origin: that she's the granddaughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi, or a clone of the late Emperor, or simply a regular Force-sensitive would-be Jedi who was hidden away on the desert planet of Jakku for her own good.
Of course, that line may not end up in the actual film. Maz Kanata, the ancient cantina owner voiced by Lupita Nyong'o, says the same thing in a Force Awakenstrailer, and it didn't end up in the finished movie.
Still, it seems a fairly strong indicator that the mystery of Rey is supposed to be deeper than most fans expect -- and that the line of Skywalkers in the Skywalker saga may finally be at an end. (That is if you don't count Ben Solo, a.k.a. Kylo Ren, a.k.a. Anakin Skywalker's grandson.)
The teaser footage also included "an X-wing wobbling mid-air, under attack inside a giant ship," according to Miller, as well as a silent look at General Leia Organa, played by the late Carrie Fisher.

Iger, meanwhile, revealed he is one of the few souls in the universe to have seen The Last Jediall the way through. His verdict? "It's great ... a perfect chapter in the iconic Skywalker family drama."
Of course, it's likely that the film he saw is far from complete. The elves at Lucasfilm's special effects shop, Industrial Light & Magic, are hard at work on the special effects at time of writing.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson hits theaters on December 15, 2017 -- and the first actual public trailer is likely to drop very soon.
