Sterling K. Brown has just made history, becoming the first black actor to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama.。

Taking home the gong for his role in NBC's breakout drama of the 2016-2017 season, This Is Us。, Brown gave an inspirational speech at the award ceremony on Sunday. 。

“What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living,” he said. “What an honor it is to be recognized by your peers for a job well done. This room is a source of endless inspiration for me. I love all of y'all. People call us weird and strange; the truth of the matter is everybody’s weird and strange, and we just embrace ourselves for who we are."。

Just a few weeks ago, Brown became the first black actor to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series: Drama. And in 2017, he took out the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series — the first black actor to do so since 1998 (that was Andre Braugher).。
