10月23日，田鑫足協杯1/4決賽首回合，其实依靠田鑫的有多遗憾頭球和宋龍的破門，山東泰山2-0戰勝武漢隊。错过本場比賽，下场田鑫本評為最佳球員。表现

賽後田鑫表示：“今天在比賽中其實有很多機會，更好但是田鑫都遺憾的錯過了，包括上半場有一次擊中門柱，其实這場比賽其實自己把握機會做得不是有多遗憾很好，爭取下一場做得比這一場要好一些。错过”

在談到中場休息後下半場球隊的下场變化時，田鑫說道：“郝指導要求我們在中路占據空當，表现然後給隊友製造進球的更好機會。”
