The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are IP67-rated, which means they can be submerged in up to 3.2 feet of water for up to 30 minutes, according to Ingress Protection, the organization that "classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against intrusion" for products.。

The new iPhones' water-resistance depth is lower than the IP68 rating on the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Note7, which can be submerged in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. 。
