It's rare to find a woman in television kicking butt on camera, forget behind it.。

Netflix's。 Jessica Jones。is attempting to accomplish both. At Transform Hollywood on Friday, Melissa Rosenberg, the show's executive producer, announced that all Season 2 episodes will be directed by women.。

Women directed slightly under a third of the show's first season. A study from the Center for Women in Television and Film found that women made up approximately 12 percent of all television directors in 2015.。

Next season's Game of Thrones, by contrast, will not have any female directors. 。

Non-comic book fans have been drawn to the show for its measured blend of social drama, action, and meticulously constructed 'detective' plots. It's a superhero franchise enjoyed by people who barely know what the Marvel franchise is.。
