Elon Musk thinks we might be living in a simulation. Now, whether that's true or just quality trolling, that's something we had to discuss on this week's MashTalk.
But first, Pete and I (well, mostly just me) had to make a mea culpa about the Motorola Razr's comeback (1:00). Don't worry, we proceed to beg Samsung to make us a flip phone we can proudly carry in 2016 anyway. Come on Samsung, you're our only hope!
We move on to talk about the latest iPhone rumors (5:00), including the report that Apple might not be planning a major redesign until 2017. We also talked about the rumors of a 5K Apple display (13:15), which frankly, is something we would have expected years ago.
We move on to talking about some of Elon Musk's comments at the Code Conference (18:35), including his idea that we might be living in a simulation and his boast that Space X will be sending people to Mars by 2024. We'll see Elon, we'll see.
Moving on, we discuss the fact that Snapchat now has more daily active users than Twitter (32:30) and then segue that into a broader conversation about Jack Dorsey's first year back at the helm (35:30).
No lightning round this week, but we're sure we'll have plenty of stuff to discuss when Lance rejoins us next week.
This MashTalk is sadly the final episode produced by our friend Connor Finnegan.
