As the spookiest night of the year quickly approaches, you may be thinking about throwing your own Halloween shindig.

We'd all like to agree that we're more than capable of hosting a great party but actually planning one can either be a walk in the park or a total nightmare on Elm Street.

This is a great way to get your guests into the Halloween spirit.

This should be pretty self-explanatory.

3. Do: Wear a well thought-out and original costume.

Starbucks cups, M&Ms, and Game of Thrones ensembles are surefire way to win best dressed. But if you're feeling lost, here are many, many suggestions.

Costumes based on cultures are not cool and tragic events are never clever. And please, don't dress up like Donald Trump.
