So you saved some money and are looking for a phone. Good. Here's one that costs $70,000.

Coming from Caviar, known for lavish iPhone makeovers, the new iPhone 11 Pro Discovery Solarius is as over-the-top as it gets. Its creation required half a kilogram of gold and 137 diamonds, says Caviar. On the back, nested in the middle of all that bling, is a luxury watch, complete with a tourbillon (one of the most expensive add-ons a timepiece can have). And within the watch face, there's a special, yellow diamond (or sun stone), which I presume is also very expensive.

The entire thing is meant to "symbolize the eternal life that Sun gives to our planet," but let's face it, the kind of person who would buy this sort of thing probably isn't interested in the symbolism.

Other than the expensive materials on the back, the iPhone 11 Pro Solarius is just a regular iPhone 11 Pro, with the price starting at $70,340 for the 64GB version (pffft), and going all the way up to $71,520 for the iPhone 11 Pro Max with 512GB. The press materials claim the Solarius comes in a limited edition of one, so I'm not quite sure how the above pricing works — maybe one of each? I've asked Caviar about it and will update this story when I hear more.

UPDATE: Oct. 31, 2019, 8:38 a.m. CET "We have all the necessary elements ready for the final assembling of the iPhone modification which the client will choose," a Caviar spokesperson told Mashable.

Besides the Solarius, you can also get cheaper variants which symbolize other celestial bodies, including Mars and the moon (both available in 19 copies), and you can also get one themed after the Tsarev Meteorite (available in 99 copies). Caviar claims they actually contain fragments of Mars, the moon, and a meteorite, respectively, which are supposedly certified by the Expert Gemological and Mineralogical Consultation of the Mineralogical Museum of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

These variants start at $8,100 (Mars), $8,130 (Luna) and $8,260 (Terra).
