Xbox Series S consoles (both new and refurbished) are on sale for up to $50 off as of Friday, Oct. 13. We've also spotted a new Series S bundle up for preorder at three retailers.
The best Xbox Series S deals at a glance:Best bundle dealXbox Series S starter bundle$299.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Microsoft Store(save $49.99)

Best upgradeXbox Series S – 1TB (Black)$319.99 at Dell(save $30)

Best refurbished dealXbox Series S (Certified Refurbished)$249.99 at the Microsoft Store(save $50)

The Xbox Series S is Microsoft's bestselling current-generation console by a wide margin thanks to its compact design and reasonable price of $299.99. We'd be surprised if it wasn'ta popular gift for gamers during the holidays (yet again), especially as retailers tee up for an extra-early start to the shopping season with sales throughout October.
SEE ALSO:The Microsoft Activision Blizzard deal is official — here’s what this means for gamersAt the risk of rubbing salt in Team PlayStation's wound: Below, we've rounded up three of the best Xbox Series S deals (starting at just $249.99) that were available as of Friday, Oct. 13, including a new holiday bundle.
Best bundle deal

Why we like it
Announced this week as a new holiday offering, the Xbox Series S starter bundle comes with the console, its Xbox wireless controller, and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. (That unlocks access to the Xbox Game Pass library of over 100 titles as well as online multiplayer, day one releases, exclusive discounts, and a free EA Play membership.) It's a $349.98 combined value, but you'll pay just $299.99, or the going price of the Series S itself. Preorders are available at Amazon, Best Buy, and in the Microsoft Store ahead of its official release on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Best upgrade

Why we like it
The latest version of the Series S features a slick Carbon Black finish and 1TB of storage (or twice as much as the original Robot White model). It's up for grabs for just $319.99 at Dell, which appears to be a new record-low price.

Best refurbished deal

Why we like it
The Microsoft Store's refurbished Series S is currently the cheapest Xbox console in town. It may not arrive in its original packaging, but it's been tested and closely inspected for any major cosmetic flaws.
