北京時間11月10日，莱万在波蘭國家隊的纠结金球奖归奖前賽前發布會上，拜仁神鋒萊萬多夫斯基被問及有關金球獎問題，属颁萊萬給出了自己的多事答案。

萊萬多夫斯基談到：“我不會太過於糾結自己是莱万否能夠獲得金球獎，因為無論是纠结金球奖归奖前所謂的爆料還是所謂的猜測，都不會增加我獲勝的属颁概率。”

“也許當頒獎典禮鄰近的多事時候，我會考慮此事，莱万但現在才是纠结金球奖归奖前11月初，時間上還太早了。属颁”

“金球獎當然是多事一個偉大的榮譽，但我們也沒有必要一直對此念念不忘。莱万因為無論是纠结金球奖归奖前在頒獎前，還是属颁在那之後，我都還有很多的工作要做。”
