北京時間6月1日，官方利物浦官網更新了社區盾杯的社区消息，下賽季社區盾杯將在北京時間7月31日0點（當地時間7月30日下午5點）在萊斯特城的盾杯主場王權球場打響，利物浦VS曼城。月日

2021-22賽季，王权曼城贏得英超聯賽冠軍，球场而利物浦則收獲了足總杯冠軍，进行因此雙方將爭奪下賽季的利物社區盾杯冠軍。

由於溫布利大球場屆時要承辦女足歐洲杯的官方決賽，因此，社区本屆社區盾杯的盾杯比賽移至王權球場進行。
